# Virtual USB using OSF Mount

Steps to create a virtual USB\

Open OSFMount,\

&#x20;Run OSFMount as administrator (important for full access), ⸻\

&#x20;Mount a new image, Click “Mount new…” Or select “Create new image” if you want a blank virtual USB, , ⸻ \

Configure it like a USB, In the mount options: Set Drive Letter (e.g. E:), Tick “Removable media” → this is key to make it behave like a USB, File system: If blank image → choose FAT32 or exFAT later in Windows format, , ⸻ \

Mount it, Click OK, It will now appear in File Explorer like a USB drive, ⸻\

&#x20;(Optional) Format it, If you created a blank image: Go to This PC, Right-click the new drive → Format, Choose: FAT32 (most compatible) exFAT (for large files), , , ⸻\

Create a blank virtual USB (from scratch) Inside OSFMount: Click “Mount new…”, Select “Create new image”, Set: Size (e.g. 8GB for a USB-like drive) Type: RAM drive (temporary) or Image file (persistent), , , Mount as removable media\

Copy and paste loader onto created virtual usb. Go into usb and right click run loader as admin Enter key and load loader. When it says remove flash drive right click on virtual usb and uninject virtual usb
